Course - Professionals & Intermediate
Garment Construction Specialty Course
The programme is set by the Academy of Dressmakers over a 20 week programme 6 hrs a week.
This course aims to refine and extend the Students current knowledge for a more “professional” level in their chosen area of Fashion.
It is also a course for those who have completed a Beginners level 1 and 2 and want to continue Garment Construction processes from and Intermediate level and extending and breaking up components of various garments.
These include:
- Casual wear (denim, Dresses etc,)
- Formal and Bridal wear
- Tailored suiting (women’s)
- Corsetry (traditional with metal boning and Busks)
- Sports wear
- Dance wear
Course Duration:
20 weeks x 6hr sessions
10 weeks x 6hrs
Garment Construction “Refresher” Courses
The ‘Refresher” course is ideal for the Individual/s who have completed Fashion Courses at other Institutes and need to “REFRESH” their employability skills.
This course will allow the individual to focus on their weakest areas. Book a programme with our Head of Faculty to determine your needs.
Book for a 10 week or 20 week course to complete a programme to improve skills in the areas of Garment Construction you believe you would like to advance.
Programme will be designed with the Student and the Academy of Dressmakers.
Course Duration:
10 weeks or 20 weeks, 3hr sessions
