Course - Beginners
Beginners Level 1A - Sewing Principles and Introduction
3 weeks x 2 hrs x once a week (see enrolment form for days and times)
Cost: $198
This class will introduce you each week to:
- Using your own (or ours) sewing machine and Overlocker
- Sewing of various seams, Open, Closed, French, Flat Fell, bound and Topstitched seam
- the insertion of Standard, Invisible and fly zippers
Beginners Level 1B - Skirt Patternmaking and Construction
5 weeks x 2hrs once a week (see enrolment form for days and times)
Can be completed in 3 days by arrangement (10am -1.30pm)
Cost: $265
In this Class you will be :
- Constructing your own Skirt Block to fit you and understanding Grainlines and pattern terms
- Modifying the block to a Skirt with a waistband and Lining. Your choice Short or long
- Learning how to Lay and cut your Pattern pieces onto fabric correctly
- Learn how to sew your pieces and fit your skirt.
Beginners Level 2A - The Pant or Jeans
5 weeks x 2hrs once a week (see enrolment form for days and times)
Can be completed in 3 days by arrangement (10am -1.30pm)
Cost $275
In this class you have the choice to make a pair of jeans or a pair of pants to fit you. (Male or Female)
You will learn:
- How to construct a pattern to fit you and modify it to your design.
- Lay and cut your pattern pieces onto your fabric
- Construct and Fit your pants
Note: You have the option to continue on to make more styles or to be shown how to replicate your favourite pant/ jeans
Complete a 2hr workshop and learn how to insert various Pockets and Alter various pant hems.
